I wish. If they lost the youth vote, what just happened with the NYC mayoral primary? I think much of Gen Z have been lost, along with the ethics of their party. I don't know if they can recover from their brainwashing. Chesa Boudin, when he was acting as SF DA a few years ago, demonstrated that his parents never learned any lessons from their stint with the Weather Underground. I think when these kids get older, they're not going to change much, unless they develop spontaneous reading and critical thinking habits...
That's actually an excellent question, and here's the answer: the socialist won the DEMOCRAT primary. So this is self-identified, registered NYC DEMOCRATS. Ordinarily all the loons turn out for the primaries and this was no exception. They went with the Marxist, pro-Palestine, antisemitic, bomb-throwing radical. And turnout was awful, especially among Democrats. So this is a tiny minority appeal that won on rank choice voting: he was a lot of peoples' THIRD choice. He won't win the election, however. It's anybody's guess, but the favored is the current mayor who is running as an Independent. Don't despair!
